Justin Bieber On Retiring: I Need To ‘Figure Out Myself As A Man’

Justin Bieber may or may not have been joking when he went on L.A.’s Power106 and said that he was retiring on Dec. 16. Even Justin doesn’t know, he said at the world premiere of ‘Believe’ on Dec. 18.

It sounds like Justin Bieber‘s rumored retirement will be more like a quick break to focus on the most important people in his life — his family, namely his brother Jaxson, 4, and his sister Jazzy, 5!

“I wanna get to know my family more,” he told MTV News at the Regal Cinemas L.A. Live. ”I’ve been away so much, I’ve missed a lot of great years with my brother and sister.”

As for his plans for next year, he said that in 2014 he’s focusing on “figure out myself as a man.” But don’t worry Beliebers, he said that includes “something special” for the fans!

So, does that mean he’s taking a break from music, or was that whole thing just a joke? He was straight-faced during the interview with the L.A. radio station, but fans weren’t sure if he was just kidding around.

“I don’t know if that’s a joke,” he told MTV. “I don’t know. I don’t know.”

While Justin doesn’t know if he was joking, a source close to him told bestcelebritygossip2013.blogspot.com exclusively that it definitely wasn’t true.

“There is no truth of him quitting music, there is no chance of him quitting music,” the source said. “It just will not happen. It’s his meal ticket. It was all just a joke.”

We’re happy to hear that — after seeing that crowd at the Believe premiere, we know that there would be a lot of unhappy women out there.
