Deputies search Justin Bieber's house in egg-throwing probe

Deputies search Justin Bieber's home
Justin Bieber got some unexpected visitors Tuesday morning: sheriff's deputies with a warrant to search his home.

Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were looking for video from Bieber's security cameras that might show what happened Thursday night when eggs were thrown at a neighbor's home, according to a sheriff's statement.

A judge gave deputies a felony search warrant, which they carried out Tuesday morning, the sheriff's statement said.

Bieber and several house guests were asleep in the home when deputies arrived at 8 a.m., according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. David Thompson. He was cooperative with the dozen deputies, but he did not answer questions about the alleged vandalism, Thompson said.

Justin Bieber's bad year: A guide
Bieber hasn't spoken to investigators about last week's incident, and his representative had declined comment to CNN.

Bieber house guest arrested
One of Bieber's house guests, rapper Lil Za, was arrested when deputies allegedly found illegal drugs during their search, Thompson said. Although the drugs were initially reported to be cocaine, Thompson later said they are believed to be Ecstasy and Xanax, but lab tests will be needed to confirm it.

The suspect was identified as Xavier Smith, 20, who performs under the name Lil Za, Thompson said. He was set to be released later Tuesday after posting a $20,000 bond, Thompson said.

Video clues sought
"The purpose of the search warrant is to seek video surveillance or other possible evidence in the vandalism that occurred on January 9, 2014," the sheriff's statement said.

Deputies seized video from computer hard drives on the "extensive" security monitoring system on Bieber's estate, Thompson said.

Cameras capture just about any movement on the property, he said. Detectives will spend the next days scouring through the video for clues about who hurled eggs toward the neighboring mansion last week, Thompson said.

If investigators find enough evidence that Bieber, 19, threw the eggs that splattered against his next-door neighbor's home, they could refer the matter to the district attorney's office for possible prosecution, he said.

The vandalism damage to the house of Bieber's neighbor was about $20,000, Thompson said. The cost of repairing the damage to the house is a key factor in determining the severity of the charge. Any damage of more than $950 would qualify the charge as a felony.

Bieber's Brazil adventures: Truth or idol gossip?
Bieber lives in the Oaks, an exclusive gated community, in Calabasas. He moved into a $6.5 million mansion there two years ago. An impressive list of the rich and famous -- including Michael Jackson's mother and children -- live in the neighborhood, about 30 miles west of downtown Los Angeles.

His neighbors have complained about Bieber several times in the past year, including in May when two neighbors called the sheriff to report he was speeding down residential streets, a sheriff's spokesman said.
Deputies visited Bieber's home in response, but the singer refused to talk to them, Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore said.

Retired NFL star Keyshawn Johnson went to Bieber's home then to counsel him about the dangers of going too fast on the residential streets, but Bieber wouldn't speak to him, Johnson's rep told CNN in May.

A neighbor accused Bieber of spitting on him and making threats during a heated confrontation outside his home last March, Whitmore said. It prompted a sheriff's probe, but no charges followed.

Justin Bieber On Retiring: I Need To ‘Figure Out Myself As A Man’

Justin Bieber may or may not have been joking when he went on L.A.’s Power106 and said that he was retiring on Dec. 16. Even Justin doesn’t know, he said at the world premiere of ‘Believe’ on Dec. 18.

It sounds like Justin Bieber‘s rumored retirement will be more like a quick break to focus on the most important people in his life — his family, namely his brother Jaxson, 4, and his sister Jazzy, 5!

Justin Bieber Retiring Reason: It’s All About Family

“I wanna get to know my family more,” he told MTV News at the Regal Cinemas L.A. Live. ”I’ve been away so much, I’ve missed a lot of great years with my brother and sister.”

As for his plans for next year, he said that in 2014 he’s focusing on “figure out myself as a man.” But don’t worry Beliebers, he said that includes “something special” for the fans!
So, does that mean he’s taking a break from music, or was that whole thing just a joke? He was straight-faced during the interview with the L.A. radio station, but fans weren’t sure if he was just kidding around.

“I don’t know if that’s a joke,” he told MTV. “I don’t know. I don’t know.”

Justin Bieber Retiring ‘Will Not Happen’ — Source

While Justin doesn’t know if he was joking, a source close to him told bestcelebritygossip2013.blogspot.com exclusively that it definitely wasn’t true.

“There is no truth of him quitting music, there is no chance of him quitting music,” the source said. “It just will not happen. It’s his meal ticket. It was all just a joke.”
We’re happy to hear that — after seeing that crowd at the Believe premiere, we know that there would be a lot of unhappy women out there.

So, HollywoodLifers, do you think it’s a good idea for Justin to take a break to gather his thoughts and figure himself out? Let us know!

Justin Bieber 'Officially' Retires on Christmas Eve

Scrutinized teen star bows out via Twitter announcement the night before his feature film 'Believe' opens in theaters

Canadian teen pop star Justin Bieber announced he will "officially" retire in a tweet posted on Christmas Eve.

He continued, "The media talks a lot about me.They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I'm never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle." Then, invoking another child prodigy known for this day, Bieber finished, "Be kind loving to each other, forgive each other as god forgave us through Christ Merry Christmas IM HERE FOREVER."

The announcement follows hints earlier this month that the singer was seeking to end his time in the spotlight. In an interview with Los Angeles radio station Power 106 on December 17, Bieber told host Kurt "Big Boy" Alexander, "After the new album, I'm actually retiring, man. I'm retiring." He soon backtracked, sounding as if that decision wasn't yet final, and explained, "I want to grow as an artist, and I'm taking a step out, I want my music to mature."

That has already been the case on a number of new collaborations, including one un-sucky track with Chance the Rapper, SPIN's Rapper of the Year.
It was an otherwise difficult 2013 for the 19-year-old, who was discovered on YouTube in 2008 by American manager Scooter Braun and soon grew to global fame under the tutelage of R&B star Usher Raymond. The Hall of Shame inductee found himself in several PR disasters: fender benders, neighborhood disputes, signing "Hopefully she would have been a Belieber" in the Anne Frank house guestbook, and, perhaps most damning, his public urination in a restaurant bucket.

Bieber was most recently seen at the red carpet premiere of his second feature film, Believe, which unlike 2011's fame-charting concert doc Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, reportedly focuses on repairing the singer's ailing image. Believe opens wide Christmas Day.
